Why Row?

Social

The best part of rowing is the fun you'll have being around excellent people and working as a team to achieve the goal of a fast boat. There is nothing quite like the camaraderie that is built in the sport of rowing.

Fitness

Working almost every muscle of the body, rowing is a phenomenal exercise and injuries are extremely rare. The standard 2,000 meter race is one of the most physically and mentally demanding races of any sport.

Academics

Junior rowers consistently achieve high grades and are more likely to attend college. Several alumni of LLVRC are currently rowing in college and many more have plans to row collegiately.

About Us

The Lake Las Vegas Rowing Club (LLVRC) is situated in Henderson, NV on the beautiful Lake Las Vegas. We formed and incorporated on June 15, 2016 with a nine-member Board of Directors, all from the Greater Las Vegas Area. Six have past rowing and coaching experience and the other three are community leaders with a passion for the sport and vast experience.

Our mission is to educate individuals about and promote the sport of rowing throughout the Las Vegas Valley with a particular focus on young athletes. We are committed to developing our athletes into exceptional rowers and even better people. Rowers will hone their teamwork, communication, and leadership skills while simultaneously improving their self-confidence, sense of purpose, and self-efficacy.
