Jacqueline Patricia “PJ” Lloyd
“PJ”, started her rowing career in the fall of her junior year in high school with Cape Cod Rowing. While there she competed in any and all races she could. Her hard work and dedication to the sport even scored her a spot on the varsity rowing trip to South Africa. She raced in the single and the double, in the South African National Championships in the spring of 2008. The end of her high school career came with winning the MPSRA State championships while stroking the women’s 4x, and a partial scholarship to the University of Massachusetts Amherst. PJ rowed for one season there, and then decided to answer a higher calling by joining the Army.
She spent 1 year training in Arizona to become an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operator, and was later stationed in Germany for 3 years where she also completed 3 tours of duty in Afghanistan. While in the Army PJ met the love of her life Ryan, and moved to Las Vegas after completing their active duty contracts. PJ is also the mother of a beautiful 2 year old daughter, Evelyn, and is head of the household while Ryan continues to serve the United States overseas as a civilian contractor. PJ brings a wealth of life experience, and is looking forward to seeing rowing grow here in the Las Vegas area!
