Scott Harris
Assistant Coach/Boatman
Scott Harris came to us out of the blue in 2017 and has been a huge asset to the Club. He has single handedly repaired all our club’s shells and coached most of our novice rowers from the start. He grew up in Washington and was an automotive mechanic, running his own shop for over 30 years. He is a Vietnam war veteran with a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
Nihal Mustakim
Assistant Coach
Nihal is a former coach and coxswain for LLVRC and is excited to make her return to the team! She began her rowing career at University of Puget Sound, where she earned her B.A. in Psychology with a Communications minor. She completed her novice year on the team as a rower, but after realizing she had a knack and a love for coxing, she switched roles. As a coxswain, Nihal immediately earned a spot on the Varsity team and coxed her boats to several regional medals. After graduation, she still found herself hopping in the coxswain seat, periodically coxing races for the masters teams in Washington.
